A new project: mini guitar to octave mandolin

A Luna brand travel guitar - 22.5 inch scale - which I bought some years ago for 20 bucks - its cracked back and brace were easily fixed with Elmer's glue.  Now planning to convert it to an octave mandolin, using amazingly cheap eBay tailpiece and tuners.  I'll post again when it's done.

Cool! I'm excited to see how it turns out! Any plans on using it in the orchestra?

I posted too soon - I'm sorry. This guitar plays too well as is, and I'd have to rip out the pickup I glued under the bridge - so no octave mando project until I find a new donor guitar. My mistake.

No worries! I love projects like this, contemplating something similar with a junk guitar I found at a garage sale.
