Minnesota Polka lyrics

The Minnesota Polka Floating on the breeze,
The Minnesota Polka underneath the trees,
The Minnesota Polka the rippling waters play,
With Coffee pot and smorgasbord you'll dance the night away.
They cut down a tall pine tree and made a floor to dance on.
With branches they made a fire and put the coffee pot on.
They tuned up the fiddle and harmonica, accordion, and old banjo,
Sittin' on a bale of hay then the band began to play. The dance was on!
The Minnesota Polka floating on the breeze,
The Minnesota Polka, underneath the trees,
The Minnesota Polka the rippling waters play,
With coffee pot and smorgasbord you'll dance the night away.

August 27 rehearsal

We will have a rehearsal on Monday, August 27. These are the tunes:

Off to Minnesota
My Desire Devised Her Beauty
Children with Bad Dreams
Seven
The Clairvoyant Cha-Cha
Take Me Out to the Ball Game

We last played "Children with Bad Dreams" in 2008. I want to play it at the August 27 rehearsal to evaluate whether it is suitable for playing at the convention. If you have CWBD in your files, please take it to the rehearsal and consider making a copy for someone who doesn't have it.

I'm thinking about having our annual end-of-season party after the convention.
