I'm searching for a case (preferably hard, but soft may do) for one of my instruments that's about the size and shape of a 3/4 guitar. I'm leery about buying online because I'm not sure it will fit well (well enough to travel internationally). Can you recommend any stores in the cities where I may find an appropriate case?
Also, if anyone has experience shipping instruments internationally, I'd love to hear your wisdom and tips!

Hey Tiffany! If you can drive a little bit, Hobgoblin Music in Red Wing probably has the most non-standard sized cases, including for things like tenor guitars that sound like what you’re looking for. In the metro I would try Groth Music in Bloomington, or maybe Homestead Pickin Parlor in Richfield.
No personal experience with international shipping but I would bet reverb.com has detailed shipping guides online for musical instruments.

A guitar shop would have boxes for shipping, and might be willing to pack it for you.
